Paul Maletich has been a police officer in the south suburbs for over 20 years.
Paul graduated from Western Illinois University in 2000 with degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration with minors in Psychology and Sociology. Paul was then hired in 2002 and sent to the police academy. After graduating the police academy he served as a patrolman for 18 months when he was selected for a position as an operator on a multi-jurisdictional SWAT Team. He was the youngest member to ever be selected. From there he was sent to the FBI Swat school where he graduate #1 In his class.
Over his 20 plus year police career he has been attached to tactical teams. He has been on multi-jurisdictional SWAT for the last 19 years and now Recently promoted to Asst. Commander of the second busiest team in the State of Illinois.
Throughout his SWAT career he worked extremely hard and worked to achieve several command positions from Asst. Team Leader to full Team Leader of Entry and React Teams. Paul held those position for 12 years. Paul has been on over 2000 special operations. Which includes Hostage Rescue, Barricaded Gunman, Active Shooters and much much more. Paul had achieved Master Operator status after his first 10 hrs of service on SWAT.
Paul is an Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board instructor (ILETSB). He assists in instructing Swat school, firearms and CQB entry Tactics for the state of Illinois.
Paul has been teaching firearms and tactics for over 16 years. He is the head firearms instructor, red dot pistol instructor, ballistic shield instructor, CQB instructor, pistol magazine exchanges instructor, police tactics and so much more. He is also the President of the Suburban Swat Operators Association which raises funds to send police officers to training.
Over his 20 years Paul has received many awards such as the Team award Band of Brothers , Swat Operator of the year, Trainer of the year, and several Commanders awards of excellence for distinguished service.
He continuously trains and pushes himself along with all his students to achieve a higher level.
